| Hiram
Bingham
This luxury train service runs between
Cuzco and Machu Picchu. The train departs
from Poroy Station (20 mins drive from
the centre of Cuzco) at 9am, giving a
more leisurely start to the day than other
PeruRail departures.
Its
distinctive blue and gold livery and elegant
interior upholstery in warm, inviting
tones, consists of 4 cars - 2 dining cars,
a bar car and a kitchen car. The price
of the journey includes onboard meals
with wine, entertainment, guides, bus
tranfers, entrance to the Ruins and afternoon
tea at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.

Vistadome
These spectacular carriages have beautiful
panoramic windows offering unsurpassed
scenic views and photographic opportunities.
With glass surrounding them on all sides,
passengers feel as if they are part of
Peru's remarkable landscape.
Vistadome
is the quickest way to visit Machu Picchu
and apart from the carriages of the Hiram
Bingham, the most comfortable. Snacks
and hot and cold refreshments are included
on the journey. The Vistadome runs between
Cuzco-Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley-Machu
Picchu. Passengers can also board and
alight in Poroy (the closest stop to Cuzco),
avoiding the switchback in and out of
Cuzco and saving approximately half an
hour off the the total journey time.

Backpacker
The Backpacker
carriages are created for our adventure
passengers or for those seeking comfort
and security, without all the frills.
These
carriages offer travellers a true Peruvian
experience. Seats are upholstered with
indigenous fabrics, giving a touch of
local flavour.
Snacks
are served on this service and additional
storage space is available for backpacks.
Backpacker
runs between Cuzco-Machu Picchu, Sacred
Valley-Machu Picchu and Cuzco-Lake Titicaca.

The Andean
Explorer is exquisitely decorated in the
fine manner of the great Pullman trains
of the 1920’s and boasts a full fleet of
refurbished coaches including dining cars
and an open-air observation bar car, which
is unique in South America.

a three course lunch in the dining car
followed by coffee served in the observation-bar

| Tour to Machu Picchu with Train Ticket / Vistadome |
Daily (12 Hours). Time depending on schedule and service chosen.
Transfer to San Pedro train station. Departure of train vistadome (06:00 hrs) or backpacker train (06:30 hrs) headed for the town of Aguas Calientes. During the course of our train ride, we will appreciate the hanging bridge where Incas Trail starts. This road follows the course of Urubamba or Vilcanota River, going down toward a canyon and reaching the town of Aguas Calientes, at the base of the Machu Picchu Mountain. We will get on our minibuses to go up the ruins of the Sacred Citadel of the Incas “Machu Picchu”.
We will visit this outstanding archeological monument, which keeps an indescribable magic and energy for those having not lived this experience before. We will stroll around its terraces, corridors, temples, solar clock “Intihuatana”, and other sacred places comprising this citadel. Buffet lunch in Aguas Calientes, at a restaurant located at the top of the mountain, if requested. Down again to Aguas Calientes town. Train to the city of Cusco. Train station and transfer to hotel. |

Transfer to the train station called Poroy at the appropriate time. Departure on the Hiram Bingham train heading for Aguas Calientes. On our way will appreciate the hanging bridge where Incas Trail starts. For those who wish to stay the night at Machu Picchu, the train ticket may be requested round trip, with return the next day. According to the terms and conditions of this service, the trains’ company reserves the right to give you a return ticket in an inferior category coach without reimbursements for services not rendered. |

Baggage
Q.
Where do I store my baggage while traveling
on PeruRail?
A. Passengers may store their baggage in the
baggage car on the train. Upon arrival, please
present your belongings to the baggage counter,
there is also space inside the passenger cars
for a small handbag or backpack per passenger*.
Q. May I take my bicycle with me on
the train?
A. Yes, simply take your bicycle to the baggage
counter upon arrival.
Q.
Do I need to tip porters?
A. Tipping porters or baggage handlers is at
your own discretion. As a guidance a typical
tip is between 1 and 3 Soles per bag.
Q.
Can I store my baggage at one of the stations?
A. Lockers are not provided, however, you may
leave your luggage in our baggage storage room*.

of your baggage. We suggest that you do not
carry valuables with you.

to the scheduled departure.

Do you serve refreshments on board the train?
A. A variety of food and beverages are served
free, or at an additional cost, depending on
the class of service.
Accessibility

What accommodation is provided for handicapped
passengers or those needing special assistance?
A. Every effort will be made to assist passengers
with any need they may have. We strongly recommend
travelling in an Inca Coach for any passenger
needing special assistance. Oxygen is provided
on all trains for passengers having difficulty
acclimatizing to the high altitudes.
