Day 1:Lima.
The city of Lima,no doubt,is the most important city in Peru due to its beautiful and unique places. On the old side of the city, known as Downtown Lima “Lima Centro” , we can visit the colonial Lima, called during the colonial times the City of Kings, its Archaeological sites go back to XVI century, churches and colonial houses are a wonderful view.
Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the city, we will stroll around the main streets, squares and avenues. We will go to the Main Square where we will have a view of the Presidential and Municipal Palaces, the Cathedral in which lies the tomb of the Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro, and the museum of Religious Art.Then we will visit the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores until we arrive at the viewpoint where you will enjoy a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean.Lodging.
Day 2:Lima and Cusco.
Cusco The capital of the Incas Empire called Tawantinsuyo. Cusco is a Quechua (an ancient native language) word meaning “the navel of the world”, because from this city the network of Incan road (Capac Ñan), started and from where the splendor of its culture and knowledge was disseminated to other South America countries. We will be able to admire different architectural styles where Incas-time constructions are mixed with colonial and modern time constructions. The city has a great number of attractions: the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the lost citadels of the Incas, from where a special energy may be perceived in the environment by providing with comfort and a peace-of-mind feeling to visitors. No doubt, visiting Cusco will be an unforgettable experience. Nightlife in Cusco is also very active and varied with excellent restaurants, folklore shows, discos, and bars, always-receiving signs of incomparable hospitality.
Breakfast.Transfer to the airport. Departure to Cusco city. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Morning at leisure. Welcome gathering with “coca tea” that will help our travelers to get used to the local weather. In the afternoon we will visit the city going through its streets and enjoying the view of the merge between Incan and colonial architecture. Visit to Temple of the Sun “Korikancha” and the Cathedral. Then we will visit the principal attractions of Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman such as Q'enqo,Tambomachay,Puca Pucará and the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.Lodging.
Day 3:Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu.
Breakfast and Transfer to San Pedro train station in Cusco.Departure of train vistadome (06:00 hrs) or backpacker train (06:30 hrs) headed for the town of Aguas Calientes.During the course of our train ride, we will appreciate the hanging bridge where Incas Trail starts. This road follows the course of Urubamba or Vilcanota River, going down toward a canyon and reaching the town of Aguas Calientes, at the base of the Machu Picchu Mountain. We will get on our minibuses to go up the ruins of the Sacred Citadel of the Incas “Machu Picchu”. We will visit this outstanding archeological monument, which keeps an indescribable magic and energy for those having not lived this experience before. We will stroll around its terraces, corridors, temples, solar clock “Intihuatana”, and other sacred places comprising this citadel. Buffet lunch in Aguas Calientes, at a restaurant located at the top of the mountain, if requested.Down again to Aguas Calientes town. Train to the city of Cusco. Train station and transfer to hotel in Cusco.
Day 4:Depart from Cusco.
Breakfast.Transfer to the airport or Bus Terminal.End of our
